EXPRESS-RV User Equipment
User devices manufactured in the frame of EXPRESS-RV satellite communication system project by RESHETNEV (a ROSCOSMOS company)
Three types of user terminals were subcontracted by RESHETNEV company and manufactured by Zheleznogorsk Small Satellites R&D Center. Two of the terminals feature parabolic antennas; the third is equipped with a phased antenna array. The devices are designed for receiving signals from the EXPRESS-RV satellites and will be installed in both stationary and mobile facilities including marine vessels providing communication services to users along the entire Northern Sea Route.
Modem equipment for user terminals and central stations is currently under development at RESHETNEV. Once completed, the modems will be integrated into user devices for coupled tests.
RESHETNEV engineers are also working on a phased array based user terminal to be used on mobile objects such as trains.
