Eleven years since the launch of LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 communication satellites built by RESHETNEV (part of ROSCOSMOS State Corporation)
LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 satellites were launched into geostationary orbit on 28th April, 2014.
The tandem launch was made possible by using RESHETNEV’s proprietary EXPRESS 1000 platform as the satellites’ foundation.
LOUTCH-5V was commissioned by State Corporation ROSKOSMOS in the frame of Multifunctional Space Retransmission System.
The constellation provides real time communication between ground stations and LEO satellites, connects launch vehicles and Russia’s ISS segment, and facilitates TV reporting from hard-to-reach locales.
KAZSAT-3 was developed and built by RESHETNEV company pursuant to a contract with the Republican Space Communications Center of Kazakhstan. The satellite provides communication services including internet access, data relay, and TV broadcasting.
