Test Facility for Precision Mechanical Units

Mechanical units are subjected to critical high and low temperatures during TVAC tests in the thermal chamber, imitating their nominal operating conditions

RESHETNEV commissions new test facility for precision actuators

The new facility features a TVAC chamber for testing satellite elements under critical high and low temperatures for a life-like outer space exposure. The test bench was designed by RESHETNEV engineers and produced by a domestic manufacturer. A unique integrated vibration damping system makes it immune to any of the test equipment’s inherent vibrations.

Active and passives supports minimize the mechanical load on the TVAC chamber components, allowing for micron precision when measuring the angular and linear motion of electromechanical devices under test, which in turn guarantees high accuracy test results.

The test bench was recently put into operation in the Automation shop. It is designed to confirm the performances of hinge assemblies, actuators and other devices used as part of the spacecraft large-size transformable systems.
