ROSCOSMOS State Corporation signed a public contract with RESHTENEV Company for the design and manufacture of 5 MARATHON satellites prototypes followed by a sequential manufacturing of 132 nominal MARATHON satellites, which would constitute a half of MARATHON IoT system in-orbit satellite constellation. Additionally, the contract also suggests the implementation of serial satellite assembly area within RESHETNEV Company's premises.

RESHETNEV is currently finalizes manufacturing of an experimental MARATHON satellite. In accordance with another public contract, RESHETNEV is preparing the satellite for launch and experimental in-orbit research fulfilment.
