Acknowledged by Archimedes

Team RESHETNEV wins the Grand Prix of XXVII Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “ARCHIMEDES-2024”.

The Siberian enterprise emerges triumphant as they bring home their first Archimedes Grand Prix.

All three R&D products presented by RESHETNEV were honored with gold medals.

The first of these was the ANGOSAT-2 satellite built upon RESHETNEV’s proprietary standard mid weight platform EXPRESS-1000. The satellite is currently operating in GEO providing high quality communication and broadcasting services to users across Africa.

Equally highly acclaimed by the international jury, was the SKIF-D demonstration satellite, the first one launched in the frame of SPHERE Federal Program. Operation within SKIF-D grants flight qualification to the fully domestic equipment onboard, as well as to the satellite control procedures and internet access protocols implemented. As of today, the satellite’s mission is to obtain MEO radiation environment data, and facilitate communication between the ground stations in Moscow and Zheleznogorsk.

The third R&D presented by RESHETNEV was a composite spindle mockup. The spindle is a type of tooling used for bending light gauge rectangular waveguides to be used in spacecraft, aircraft building, and radar installations.

In addition to winning the Grand Prix, team RESHETNEV was also awarded the Chinese Association of Inventions’ Special Prize and gold medal along with an Award for valuable contribution to the work of the salon, and Certificate of acknowledgement.

This year, over 250 Russian and international enterprises and entities were represented at the Archimedes Salon, presenting a total of nearly 600 R&D works in space science, construction, medicine, and other fields.
