In 2025, RESHETNEV company engineers came another step closer to developing a technology for precision reflectors manufacturing.
The work is aimed to increase the accuracy of space antenna reflectors designed to operate in ultra-high frequency ranges.
RESHETNEV specialists manufactured and tested a parabolic antenna reflector sample of 2 meters in diameter. Its original structure is made of domestic composite materials. Design development test have verified compliance with the specified requirements.
Satellite builders ensured electromagnetic emission return factor of at least 99 % in up to 70 GHz frequency range. The reflector surface is precisely shaped: the deviation from the theoretical surface profile does not exceed 80 microns.
Implementation of the new technology is allowing to significantly improve technical specifications and reliability of the mirror antennas for future satellites.
