RESHETNEV (a Roscosmos company) and FSUE “Russian Satellite Communications Company” (RSCC) signed four contracts for manufacturing of the new comms satellites.
The contracts were signed in presence of Dmitry Bakanov, General Director of Roscosmos and Dmitry Ugnivenko, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
Mikhail Valov, General Director of RESHETNEV and Alexey Volin, General Director of RSCC inked the contract.
“Signing this contract is the first step made in a high valuable work that has been already started by RESHETNEV. Through our efforts dozens of millions of people in Russia are provided with satellite TV and internet services, top it off, our satellites provide communication lines to the air and sea boards and carry out other telecomm missions“, said Dmitry Bakanov, General Director of Roscosmos.

Siberian engineers are to develop and manufacture EXPRESS-40, EXPRESS-51, EXPRESS-AMU52 and EXPRESS-AMU6 satellites. With these satellites the national operator, RSCC, can replenish its fleet based on RESHETNEV satellites.
New EXPRESS GEO satellites will provide leveled up communication and broadcasting services for the Russian Federation.
