The event is hosted by the city of Nizhniy Novgorod. Conference organiser – Russian Satellite Communications Company – is the core customer for telecomm satellites made by the Zheleznogorsk-based company of Roscosmos.
JSC RESHETNEV’s General Director Mikhail Valov spoke at the plenary session titled “Satellite communication: new players – new services”.
“Today we are working at strategic tasks of national operator’s satellite fleet renovation. In total, RESHETNEV company is currently building eight satellites for RSCC. Their missions include multiprogramme broadcasting over vast territories, broadband Internet access, multimedia data relay, organisation of communication between mobile users. Launch and commissioning of these satellites shall support Russia’s sovereignty in information supply field”, – Mikhail Valov noted.
