Celebrating LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 paired launch anniversary

LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 preparation for transportation to cosmodrome.

10 years ago, LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 satellites designed and manufactured by RESHETNEV company were successfully launched together.

Paired launch of LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 satellites took place on April 28, 2014.

LOUTCH-5V commissioned by ROSCOSMOS State Corporation became the third and final satellite of multifunctional data relay satellite constellation named LOUTCH. This constellation is purposed for real time data exchange between ground stations and low orbit satellites, launch vehicles, upper stages, and ISS Russian segment.

KAZSAT-3 was designed and manufactured on a contract with JSC Republican Center for Space Communication of Kazakhstan to provide communication and television services within Kazakhstan. RESHTENEV was also responsible for building ground control segments for the satellite.

Both LOUTCH-5V and KAZSAT-3 satellites successfully fulfil their mission.
