RESHETNEV specialists continue working on EXPRESS-RV communication satellite system.
Two Mission Control Centers (MCC) are going to be established in order to operate the satellites in high elliptical orbit: primary MCC in Zheleznogorsk, Russia, and backup in Moscow. The MCC team shall process, analyze and store telemetry, control the satellites and monitor their health.
Software is the essential tool for MCC operation. In the framework of EXPRESS-RV project, RESHETNEV experts create software suites for navigation and ballistic support, control and preparation of initial data.
Being a part of the Ground Automated Control and Measurement System for Scientific and Socio-Economic Spacecrafts, Klyon earth-based relay stations ensure issuing commands to the satellites, transmitting and receiving of the telemetry by the MCC. Klyon stations are located in Kaliningrad, Moscow region, Vostochny cosmodrome, as well as at the premises of RESHETNEV company.
EXPRESS-RV communication satellite system is being manufactured by RESHETNEV company for the SPHERE Federal Program (Complex development of information space technologies) under the “Space Activity of Russia” State Program. The new satellites will be used to provide communication, broadcasting, and broadband Internet access services throughout Russia.
