GONETS-M1: Communication on a New Level

New generation of RESHETNEV satellites to broaden horizons for GONETS personal satellite communication and data relay system

The GONETS-M1 satellite is based on a new unsealed platform designed so as to allow for a group satellite launch. The satellite’s payload will implement an active phased antenna array for the provision of high speed communication. Compared to previous generation satellites, it’s capable of transmitting a much greater volume of data.

GONETS-M1 will operate in three frequency bands, namely the P-, S-, and C-band. For the latter two, this is their first time being used onboard a GONETS system satellite.

At the time of this writing, documentation release is underway at RESHETNEV for the satellite as well as its payload.

The upgraded GONETS constellation will be 28 satellites strong. Orbiting the Earth at 1500 kilometers high, they will provide high-quality telephony nation-wide, and data relay services globally.
