Localized waveguide manufacturing

Galvanic baths for preparing waveguides for soldering are now within easy reach

A closed waveguide production cycle was implemented at RESHETNEV company.

The production of on-board spacecraft components requires mechanical, galvanic and thermal processing, welding, soldering, locksmithing and assembly operations, as well as quality control. All these procedures will now be carried out in a 1296 m² workshop with newly equipped workstations.

Thanks to lean manufacturing principles, there is no need to transport waveguides between the workshops and areas where different stages of work were previously carried out, thus eliminating the need for such related procedure as preservation, incoming inspection etc. This approach significantly shortens the waveguide production cycle, ensuring its quality and high RF performance.

Today the company fully provides itself with waveguides of various radii of cross-sections, applying modern high-efficiency technologies in the implementation of design solutions.

Waveguides are radio technical devices that serve to pass radio signals on board a spacecraft.
